VM29 float height?

I've seen on this site and diagrams on the internet a discrepancy between the float height for the VM29 carbs. I've seen it as low as 22.5mm and as hight as 26mm. If I remember correctly Spyderman advised me a while back to set them at 24.5mm. Is there a definitive answer?

One tip, the best way to set the floats is with a clear tube from the drain plug. Not as easy as measuring when dry but well worth the hassle.

23mm is the standard for the 29mm smoothies mine are at 24mm that is what worked for me on my bike
start with 23 and then check the fuel level if you can
