    38mm flat slides?

I'm looking at an 1100E that has flat slides installed. Owner says that they're 38mm ....does that sound right or is it 34mm? How are they as far as day to day use and tuning?

Are they the RS Flatsides with the accelerator pumps?
The 36s would be ideal with a stock to 1166 kit but the 38s will be killer at the top end.

These already flow much more than CVs, so 36mm should be plenty for a stock bike IMHO....38mm might be over-carbed & not as responsive for everyday riding.
If they turn out to be expensive RS or FCR items, you could always flip them for good $$ and throw on carbs of your choice, or smaller 36s....flats are supposedly easier to tune than the CVs, and the factory provides set-up info to run them on the GS1100 .
