I'm a new member to the forum. I have an '82 GS850G with low miles: 7,000.
It ran great last year when I got it, but since I took it out this winter it was a little sluggish.(I started it once every two-three weeks during the winter and had Sta-bil in the tank). Carb injector cleaner and dry gas in the tank and it smoothed out. Except it's not firing regularly on one cylinder. 3 plugs look great, the #2 plug is black and the pipe doesn't get real hot. I'm pretty sure I'm getting spark and I changed the plugs. Question: Should I guess that the carb needle is stuck and is flooding or does it sound like something else? I'm about ready to take the carbs off, but a friend mentioned valve timing....
