airboxes the same?

I'm trying to purchase a used airbox to fit my 80 gs 1100E. Buddy has one to fit an 83. Are they the same? Bike Bandit lists the same filter #.

Hi,

The airbox assemblies changed between '80-'81 and '82-'83. They look similar but have different part numbers. It looks like it might fit but the style is a little different. The '80 airbox has side covers while the '83 does not.
