82 GS550L choke lever

Hey guys,

I can't get my choke to stay on. My bike has the cable style with a lever on the left hand grip, and I have to sit there and hold it because it will not stay on its own. I didn't have this problem before I got my carbs cleaned. Is there anything really simple I missed in reassembly? Is it the lever itself I should be looking at? I tightened up the lever tonight, to no avail.

there is a round plate beneath the plastic thumb lever
if its like mine there is

this should be adjustable via the screw that holds the lever on

Apparently I didn't have the screw tight enough. Works great.
