    throttle cable

I had all the cables etc removed on my 84 gs400s to paint. Relied on memory as to what went where. Big mistake. I now am having a problem getting the throttle cable routed properly so the rpm doesn't change when the steering is moved lock to lock. The change in rpm is quite significant I have tried several different routings to no avail. Help

Are you sure the cables are not adjusted to tight?

I don't have a 450, but on most of the Suzuki I have seen the cable runs along the frame backbone and comes out from bewteen the front of the tank and the frame. From there try to route it to the throttle drum with as little twist and turns as possible. Make sure you leave some freeplay in the cable.

          Yup
Amazing what one can learn by looking in the manual.
