Put In Pods, only runs on Prim

When the petcock is on the "on" position the bike runs out of gas and dies! when i put it on prim the bike returns to being it's good old self... i guess my bike is REALLY sucking down that gas now if it needs to run on prim! i really dont want to run on prim because if i run out of gas i am screwed big time! i have a high flow inline fuel filter btw but there isnt that much restriction at all from just being a regular gas line! is this normal to only be able to run on prim?

you must pull vaccum from the engine to open the fuel valve in the on/res position.
    big hose/small hose.
    big is fuel/small is vaccum.

Is the vaccum hose hooked up?

If you have a bit of a vacuum leak or have pinched/bent the vacuum hose the vacuum pressure (negative pressure) won't be enough to open the vacuum valve in your petcock. So the petrol won't flow. Apparently another similar issue (no petrol) can occur if the tank cap breather is blocked causing a vacuum in the tank.

A mate has a Ducati 900SS with a fuel pump. His cap blocked and the level of vacuum created was so great that the tank imploded . Amazing.

I worked at a 4WD wreckers and a 45series landcruiser came in for wrecking and the main tank was crushed like a beer can from the breather being blocked and the injector pump having enough preasure to suck it inward...... yep it does happen!
