and died, it was strarving for gas, but I had half a tank, so I switched the
petcock to prime, and it started. I was feeling underneth the carbs and felt a disconnected vacuum line sucking air. I pinched it off with a pair of
itty bitty vice grips I luckily bought the night before and made it home.
The vacuum hose to the petcock was still connected, so I figured the prior owner spliced the one I felt sucking air to the one connected to the petcock with electrical tape, as I never found a nipple. When I put a nipple to connect the two the bike ran and now does run great.
I looked through the service manual and there's nothing that shows where
the vacuum line hooks up to the carbs, can anyone tell me, eventually I'll remove my tank and see for myself.
Thanks,
Steve
