1983 gs750es carb jetting
The bike has the stock carbs and jets on now, with the stock 4 into 2 exhaust. I have the kerker 4 into 1 performance exhaust, but no clue on what size jets to go with. If anyone can even lead me in the right direction it would be a great help thanks.Tags: None -

I think your stock main jet is 115. I'd go with some 125s and go up one on the pilot jet. If you decide not to go up on the pilot you'll have to adjust the idle mixture screw.
I'd also shim the needle. -

thanks I just got that manual its got all the specs about the carbs and jets, it's a big help. The overall plan is the exhaust, k&n filters, and whatever jets I figure out to buy.Comment

Don't screw around trying to experiment with bigger mains, shimming needles, and so on. Buy a Dynojet kit and get it over with. The kit will put you in the ballpark right off the bat. The jet needles are what makes the kits worth the money. You can get the mains where they need to be but the rest of the rpm range will be screwed up because the taper of the stock needles won't allow you to get the carbs tuned right.Comment

With just a pipe I'd try a stage one kit. If they don't make one the kit is worth it just for the needle.A kit like this?

This is the only other jet kit that I can find, it says it will work for my bike but i'm not sure.
Thanks for the help so far, so with the exhaust and k&n pods, the stage 3 is worth a shot? I just don't wanna blow $100 on something that won't work.Comment
