    Carbtune Brass Adaptors Sealant

These adapters call for the appropriate thread sealant if installed permanently. Would Loctite work? Red or Blue?

    Definitely NOT red loctite.
Red loctite requires tools and heat for removal, which would damage small parts.

Blue loctite would be better, but I'm wondering if a few wraps of Teflon tape might not do the trick?

As it happens I just got a set of those. If you install them permanently you could use the copper washer that's (suppose to be) under the plugs there now, correct? Otherwise I'd definitely use the blue locktite. Or maybe in addition too.
Question: since they're hollow how are you planning to plug them for normal running?

The ones from Z1 have rubber covers, not sure about these.

          plugs

I would think going to any auto parts store and buy vacuum plugs and you should be good to go. Bob

A person would have to do something because they definitely do not come with any plugs

              Hi,

Locktite makes a white thread "sealer", as opposed to a blue, red, green or purple thread "locker". Could that be what your instructions call for?

              Thank you for your indulgence,

              BassCliff

I use teflon take. If you use any type of loctite you will break the brass trying to remove. NOT a strong alloy.

Thanks, I'll use the teflon tape. Glad I asked before I slapped some red loctite on there. I got a pkg of 7/32" caps from Advanced Auto to cover the holes. I'll probably never want to take the adapters out but you never know. I think I'll use the copper washer too. Good idea.
