    Help GS550 Intake pipe mix-up

    Hey everyone...
So I don't know if I'm mixed up or if it's the vendor...
I ordered new intake pipes for my GS550. They arrived today and they are tiny.
Everything I see online says the part numbers are:
    13110-47001 and 13120-47001
THat's what I ordered, but they are way small. See the pics.

Serious size difference. Anyone have the specs for the part?
I'm wondering if I was sent the wrong part? The OEM part number tag is with each pipe, but wow.

27mm original vs 23mm replacement size opening.

Those part numbers are for the early year bikes with VM (mechanical slide) carbs. Based on your old boot your bike has BS/CV carbs which take a different boot.

    Part# 13110-47010 Desc PIPE,INTAKE RH
    Part# 13120-47010 Desc PIPE,INTAKE LH

        One more thing

So, if I were to get slides, I'd have to get a new head? These intake pipes won't even bold on, as the whole unit isn't big enough.
        Is that "normal"?

Sounds normal to me. The VM carbs have a significantly smaller throat size. I think you would have to change the head also it may be possible to slot the holes in the boot to try to get them to line up.
