o ring under main jet washer?

3 of my 4 carbs had orings under the washer on the main jet. Every place I look does not show the oring... Do I need it?

    Thanks,

It would be easier if we knew what bike. You should add it to your signature.

82' GS550L. I am going to blame that brain fart on the daytona 200

Are you talking about the MAIN jet or the IDLE screw?

The idle screw has a washer and o-ring under the spring. Both are very easy to lose (as I have done).

I don't recall the main jet having an o-ring under it, but it's been a while.

Not on mine. Main jet - flat brass washer - screws into the needle jet.

You have to be careful about the nomenclature. Guys like to make up their own names for things.

Gotta go with that. Every Mikuni carburetor I have seen had only a copper washer.
