You have it installed upside down. The "O" ring goes into the body. If the "O" ring stuck up in the air, it couldn't seal anything could it? LOL Turn them over and tap them in ....lightly... using a small block of wood and a SMALL hammer if they absolutely will not press in with your fingers. Do not strike the jets with the hammer, hold the wood over the jet and tap the wood.

That'd be great because I'm a bit stumped thinking what could possibly be stopping them from going on smoothly.
There's only two things I can think of...
- The needle jet is not sitting correctly in the carb body, meaning it's butting against the main jet.
- The main jet is the wrong type or something like that so it's butting against the needle jet.
This is the only pic I have of my jets (and pilot air/mixture screw), and it's not the best I'm sorry:

Got the two new bowls in the mail today that I ordered off ebay. Put them on, and they slid all the way down, no problems.

Well that's a good result... but weird! They're definitely the same model float chambers and everything? That is just truly bizarre... so what's the difference?Comment
