Has this airbox been "modded"?

I'm in the process of sealing the airbox and this cutout in the back caught my attention because the cut looks a little rough:



I haven't been able to find a picture of a stock airbox from the back to compare.
Was it just a Suzuki worker having a bad day or a PO's cheap alternative to pods?

Thats stock... There is a rubber snorkel that is supposed to fit in there.

The missing snorkel will mess with your fuel mixture as well.

On top of messing with your mixture... Its not available from Suzuki as a separate part. You'll need to stalk ebay. Or make one yourself and tell us how you did it!
