New Intake Boots
I was just wondering where I can find new carb intake boots. Do they have to been oem? Like from PartShark or are others available that will work? I have an 85 GS550e, with the "two barrel" oval carb set-up.Tags: None -
I Got mine from G&S Suzuki. It might take a couple of weeks if the don't have them in stock.

I've not used Partshark yet. They are listed on the GSR Welcome page. I take it then your question was more related to using something other than OEM? I'm no help there.1982 GS1100GL Citrus County, FL

Hi,
They are the same. All OEM dealers order their parts from Japan. You might get your parts quicker if one of the OEM vendors has parts in a stateside warehouse. Getting OEM intake boots is the only option that I know if. It's the best option anyway. (There are one or two substitutions using Kawasaki intake boots but only on a very limited number of models.) Read through the maintenance lists in your "mega-welcome" and peruse the long list of vendors. There's a lot of information there that can save you a lot of time and effort.
Thank you for your indulgence,

Hi,
Z1 doesn't list everything on their website. The fiche name for the part is "intake pipe". You'll have to give Z1 a call and let them help you personally.
Thank you for your indulgence,

I ordered a lot of parts from partshark over the winter, including intake boots, always been satisfied with the service and their turnover to get the parts out.Comment
