    1981 gs650e carbs

    hi there,on the fuel gauge sender unit which is on the underside of the fuel tank there is what is like a fuel pipe coming off it.can anyone tell me where this pipe connects to.regards robert.

      It doesn't connect to anything. The sender unit has a funnel like catch device which will contain the fuel if the sender unit seal fails. The hose needs to be routed to a save place, away from the rear wheel, so if you spring a leak the fuel will not dump on the engine or your rear wheel.
