bad disphragm repair or replace?
so my 81 gs750e was running alittle rough and im tearing appart the carbs and i noticed the diaphragm on carb #2 has a small hole in it... so should i try the "Plasti Dip" spray-on heavy duty flexible rubber coating or try and get a new diaphragm? will one off a 87 gs450 work, they appear to have the same carbs just jetted diffrently.Tags: None -

If it was me Id at least TRY your fix.
For all we know it might hold up remarkably well and save many GS owners the ridiculous cost of replacement.Comment

A quick search turned up this possible solution:
1982 GS1100GL Citrus County, FL
a rare outsider and was only built until 1983. Who still has one, it gives her so little.Comment

You can fix it, but I wouldn't ride across country on it just yet...
Personally I'd buy a new one, just to eliminate the possibility of more problems when your riding down the highway on only 2 wheels.Comment
