    Exhaust packing.

It seems my megaphone is too loud for a lot of people. I have grown accustomed to it.

Well, I pulled the baffles today and lo and behold the PO took al the packing out of it. Yay Me!!

I just got this thing running like a top. So, my question is:

If I repack the Vance and Hines will I have to rejet or will this be so insignificant that it won't really matter? And what may I have to do if I do repack it?

BTW: I did search but everyone seems to have a different opinion.

The only good way to tell is to repack it

My 79 didn't need any carb changes once I put a packed baffle in it (it was open)

That's kinda what I figured. That I wouldn't know until I tried it.

      I'm off to the store.

Well. I guess it was running lean before. It seems to be even better now.
