Before you hit the screws with the impact driver, take a bit and place it on the screw and smack it with a hammer to make a deeper/tighter impression .

Strange, I used my HF driver to remove all of my stripped case screws with no issue. Just purchased it in January, so maybe they corrected the problem.Comment

I bought my Craftsman Impact Driver from Sears at least 8 years ago. Even though it was still working, I could not remove the adapter collar after whacking it a couple hundred times. Took it back to Sears last week and they honored the lifetime warranty, giving me a new one on the spot.Comment
