Rattle In The PipeI've been riding my new (old GS850GLZ) bike for about a month now and I started to hear a new noise, a rattle, as if something was comming loose. After some investigation I found it was comming from one of my pipes. If you hit it. It sounds like there's a bolt or the like bouncing around in there. Whats up with that?Tags: None

Subscribed as I have something similar on my 550. Already checked all the mount bolts so I'm curious as to what happens with yours.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

Not likely you'll be able to "shake out" the offending part(s). Some have mentioned taking the muffler(s) apart along the factory seam however, I have not done this and would hate to suggest it as a means of "fixing" things. Anything can be fixed but time and money usually come into play.Originally posted by Rocky33 View PostSo new muffs or take em' off and shake it out?

I would suggest looking for another set of pipes. Stock Harley take off pipes have been use and seem to work well.

 Just a thought...
