    Carb - petcock question

I am new to this site and just finished replacing intake o-rings and sealing my airbox.

Putting everything back together and can't figure out or remember how to hook the vacuum line up that goes to petcock. Does anyone have any pictures or can you explain where this comes from?

I have hoses that come off the top of three carbs .. not sure where these go.

    Thanks in advance.

The year of the bike matters in the answer.

If she's wearing CV carbs (1980 or later) take a look at:

      79 GS1000S
      79 GS1000S (another one)
      80 GSX750
      80 GS550
      80 CB650 cafe racer
75 PC50 - the one with OHV and pedals...
75 TS100 - being ridden (suicidally) by my father

        Greetings and Salutations!!

        Hi Mr. brendanGS850,

The '79 GS850 petcock gets its vacuum from the #3 carb. Later years get it from the #2 carb, like the link in Mr. hampsirehog's post.

Sorry guys - she is a 79 GS850. I think I figured it out though - comes off the number three carb?

Thanks BassCliff - our posts crossed in the Ether. I have already been familarizing myself with your site and all the great info in your post.

Have been working through the common issues as time/money allows but in the meantime enjoying riding it.
