GS550L 1983. I have a GS550L 1985 that needs a Choke cable, The cable is no longer made, the one for the 83 IS, do you think it would work on mine? Digby49

Is the cable on the left handle bar switch?

Bars are quite tall on that bike. It had cast alloy bars as well as tube steel but I imagine the dimensions of these two were very similar.

The 550e variants us a low clip-on style bar that is shorter.
