 Hi,

 Yes and yes.

If your carbs are jetted for pod filters, you'll have to re-jet too.

this is the problem i am trying to find out if the jets are the right ones. It has pods on it now and it also has a hindle header on it. I don't know if the last owner put the right jets in or not.

Pull the carbs off and look at the jets.

If you don't take the rack apart, you probably won't have to re-sync, but if you have never done it, you won't know if it's right, anyway, so you might as well do it so that you know.

 Hi,

As long as you're going to have to take the carbs apart to check the jet sizes, you might as well clean them properly.

 Hi,

You'll find a chart of all the carb specs, stock jet sizes, etc, on my little website.

 Carb Specs:
 Float Height/Jetting/Tuning

That information will be in your service manual too. You'll want the 650G manual from my website also. Right-click and "Save as...".

 Thank you for your indulgence,

The jets will have numbers etched in on the ends for their size. Look at the ones that are in there (may need a magnifying glass to see them if you have eyes like mine) and compare with the list Basscliff just gave you.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
