The 1982 GS550M I'm rebuilding was missing the choke cable and lever assembly on the handlebar. Both are no longer available for this model. However, I am certain that I can source the lever assembly from another model.
My question is on the cable itself. I'm wondering if the same year 1100ES model would work. It seems to be the closest bike to mine and it's still available rather cheap. From what I can tell on the fiche, it apears the bars may be slightly taller than mine but I'm thinking I may be able to use the adjusters to compensate.
If anyone can help me determine this, I would greatly appreciate it.
