 intake woe!hi i have a 1980 gs1000 chain drive can anybody tell me which intake manifolds i should order?mine have no part number.thanxTags: None

 If she's a genuine 80 and not a late registered 79 (so she should have CV carbs) the intakes you want are part no: 13110-49010.
 
 Good time to replace the O rings as well.79 GS1000S

 You have VM carbs and she's a 79 model - unless somebody has put big VMs on there. Check for that is the big nut on the underside of the float bowl.
 
 Intakes for VM26s / 28s (the standard carbs) are part number 13110-4501079 GS1000S
 79 GS1000S (another one)
 80 GSX750
 80 GS550
 80 CB650 cafe racer
 75 PC50 - the one with OHV and pedals...
 75 TS100 - being ridden (suicidally) by my father

 they are large round brass bolts if that makes sense?(drain plugs is what i mean) can you tell me where i can buy them .cheers

 hi HD i could also do with some help wiring my bike if you are any good with electrics ,do you know if i can simplify the harness to get a neater finish .i got the bike in boxes originally so im not even sure that the loom ive got is the right one although i have it running, lights and indicators need sorting. the flasher control box looks like its been to visit the titanic so i will need to sort an alternative flasher setup .any advice would be much appreciated.BAZ.
