On my DRZ350S, it snaps on to the slide holder and is a separate replaceable part. Wish they were all like that.sigpic Too old, too many bikes, too many cars, too many things

well as a test, I filled a 20 OZ pop bottle with water and tied a string tight around the slide and suspended it from the slide.. It lifted the 20 OZs no problem and i seriuosly doubt any stresses like that will ever be applied to the slides unless its during a very violent crash. I am claiming a victory on this one..( fingers crossed..LOL ) PS...I dont suggest this as a standard stress test..I thought i was gonna tear the diaphram at one point. Looked for something abit more reasonable in weight and found a half full can of paint stripper to use. Can says 15oz , so i would say this is around 8 to 10oz of weight suspended by the repair. I think this fix is gonna be ok.
