So I have an 81 gs650g project I have been working on. And long story short I dont have the carbs anymore. dont ask they are just gone. My question is I have a buddy that is parting out a gs850 he said he would give me carbs for super cheap for my 650 if I wanted them. my question is will 850 carbs work with a 650 stock everything else?

I think the port spacing is different. The rack of carbs from the 850 will be too wide for the 650.

Take the "cheap" carbs and trade for a set, from someone on here.

I think you are looking for the 550-650 BS 32's. Likely can get the mix right, without a jet swap, ect.
