Gs550 carbs: will '82 carbs work for my '79?

Newbie question. I need a new cylinder 2 carb for my 79 GS550E. I found a set on ebay that are off of an 82 GS550. They look identical to my carbs but I'm still wondering if they will work on my bike. Can anyone tell me if they will? Thanks!

They should look very different. Have you got photos / link as somebody may have mixed and matched the cylinder heads / carbs?

Since people on here are much more knowledgeable when it comes to carbs than I am, any idea if either of these will fit my '79 GS550E?
