Exhaust baffle rivet...steel, aluminum or chrome?

I know there are various fasteners out there to rivet exhaust baffles into place, but I was wondering about the pluses and minus of the different materials.

In particular, I need to rivet the baffle into my BUB 4 into 1, and currently have access to aluminum rivets. The rivet cannot be seen from the side of the bike.

Should I expect faster oxidation of aluminum in this location?

Is stainless appreciably stronger or longer lasting than aluminum?

Does anyone have a source for chromed rivets?

Just to follow up. I ended up using a cheap rivet of whatever was available in the shop. It is NOT stainless, and just a mild, coated steel. So far, so good.
