    Stupid Question - Plug Chop

When doing plug chops, do you use a new plug for each test cycle and carb?

    Hi,

Theoretically that will give you the most accurate readings. But since all four carbs are jetted the same (the 1150 being the exception) you can usually get by with pulling one or maybe two plugs for a plug chop.

Save your plugs and use them again once you're done tuning your carbs.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

Installed plugs are fine, new is better for the 8 bucks.

All your trying to do is get the most current reading when you chop it, nothing fancy just the latest burn.
