i would love to change my cap. Ive got the same one as you on mine, and once i redo and finish my tank it will just not work for me...

So no one has retrofitted a new cap on their old tank.....

I just upgraded to a cap that I need to use a key to open, no more screwdrivers and pocket knives for me!

Looking at this from a fabrication point of view, you could get really any thing you wanted, seeing as the tank is steel.
As for what would just pop in without modification, I would have no idea.

Those are some pretty sweet caps though.

I could see if one like your first pic could be made to work in a '83 1100E tank as it has the same round cap.
