    Idle problem.? ....help

Just bought the bike its a 79' GS1000E when you first crank it up, it shuts off almost immediatelty, but if u give it a little gas it will stay on, after bike warms up, it starts idleing high,

stuff that ive noticed that might lead to this but not really sure:

*one of the exhaust hold down bolts is broken inside, so that header pipe is only holding on by one bolt
*carb manifold boot, theres a slight cut/torn/worn its the thickness of a string of hair, so it might just be normal from factory, but i dont really know
    *i havent checked the plugs

besides this little issue, the bike runs GREAT!!!!!!!!

A well cleaned up set of carbs, the orings that reside behind your cracked boots, a valve adjustment and synched carbs, should have you up and running perfect.
