Need help with a non-Suzuki carb

I'm rebuilding a carburetor for a 1979 Honda XR250, and can't find diddly squat for the thing, right now I really need the spec for the float height. It's a Keihin carb, not sure of the exact model. There's also only 1 adjustment screw, #7 in the picture. Can't figure out what it should be set at, got it at 1.5 right now.

I've been googling for hours it seems, can't find anything its not for my bike, i'll ask him if he'll buy a book for it, I thought somewhere on the internet I could find float level specs for this thing, guess not!

Give Honda a call. 866-784-1870. I know Suzuki will photocopy and email you a service manual if you ask them, maybe Honda will too.

On my 74 xl350 with similar carb, I set it at 1 to 1.5 turns out. Beware the o-ring at carb spigot/cylinder head interface-after 32 years it may be tired and causing a hanging/erratic idle.

Thanks for the replies! I'll tell him to check that o-ring, wouldn't surprise me if it's bad.
