        Hey Guys...
I got the factory technical manual update for my 85 1150ES with the bike...I think I remeber seeing all the specs for carbs etc. They may be the same as the 84 which is already posted....I'll check and see...if not I can post them here. Lots of info in that publication...it has routing for wiring and hoses etc as well.

anyways, I have it completed with most of the info presented in this thread - there were a couple of posts that weren't in the same format or that were missing too much info, so I didn't include them.

It appears the forum won't let me upload it, so you'll have to email me if you want it (or if you want to tell me how/where to upload it). I'm going to bed now.. 8-[
          johnnay,
Your spreadsheet is a great idea and puts all the information nicely together. Could you possibly upload it to Mediafire and post the link here, then all would be able to use. Just add a version or update date or similar if possible. Sorry bad habit of mine!
Thanks for the copy a while back, I think this should not get lost to future generations of GS fans.
          Keep well and thanks.

              VM Identifying

I've got a weird set of VM's stamp with the I.D. number x48810.

              Can anyone I.D them?

                      Hi,

I'm trying to set my idle mix on my 85 GS110G but am having problems (could just be me as I'm not experienced at "highest rev" tuning) but thought I'd check the jet sizes from the carb that came out of my bike (replaced with striped, cleaned & re-O ringed spare carb with the same size jets) Pics attached.

My main jet appears stock at 115 but my pilot air jet appears to be 150 rather than 170. What difference would this make?

btw, my bike has standard pipes and air cleaner and the bike that the spare carbs came from had a 4 to 1 and standard air cleaner.

                      TIA

                      Colin

I am not sure what carbs I have on my 78 GS550. They are Mikuni round slide and it would appear they are VM26 but the number stamped on them is 47030 I can't seem to find a ref for that anywhere. Any info would be great.

These carbs are off a 1978 GS750E. They are 26mm. They should be 22mm on the GS550.

Check this link under GS750 Specs and you will find the ID number that you quoted. 45030.
