I have a factory service manual in the garage that has the specs for '83, '84, and '85. I'll try to post it here today sometime.

Can anyone please tell me what all this means? is the numbers like 0.7 mean the turns when adjusting? What do all these numbers mean? I'm used to dealing with fuel injection. Sorry

why exactly are you asking? getting the full answer would fill up pages...
if you're just fixing a bike, these are all the numbers you likely need to be concerned about:

if you have standard intake and exhaust, just confirm that all the jet sizes are per specs, set the mixure screws and the float level as above and that's it.
refer to the carb rebuild pictorial for details on the respective jets, etc.

Would it be dumb to ask if the 83 850 GL specs would be the same? Are they?

                                Search is your friend:

Your model should have these twined carburetors. I'll save you another search, the idle/preset screw is best to start at 3 turns out and adjust from there.
