GS1K Carb fuel line "T" connection fix; Teflon tape?

    Hi all,

It's been awhile since I have visited here, and my 78 GS1000 has been in storage awaiting completion for various reasons. After a complete carb rebuild and intake rubber replacement, I just now got around to completing the assembly a year later. She started right up and is running good, however the "T" fuel line connection is leaking severely. Just wondering if anyone has used the yellow Teflon tape ( used for gasoline and gas fittings), and if it was effective. Also read SqDancer's remedy of o-rings squished in next to the carbs; how is it working out if anyone else has used it.

Don't want to take these carbs down one more time; this will make number four

Not sure if the yellow tape is necessary, but I have used it more than once. Just be sure to use PLENTY of wraps.
