    vm26ss?

    do the pilot air screw and the pilot fuel screw have the same springs or are they different ..... not sure if i lost springs or if they where never there i checked the carb bodies to see if they where in the holes where these 2 different pilot screws go and i can't find them

    They are slightly different.

    Cant' tell you for sure right now which one is which, but one is a bit wider (I'm guessing the air screw spring).

      The shorter ones go on the mixture screws and the longer ones go on the pilot screws.

      I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

        Take a wire and bend it at the end..just enough to grip . Then insert it in the holes and see if you drag any springs out.

          Use a drywall screw, give it about 1/8 turn, does the same thing.

          Works great for the mixture screws on the CV-type carbs to get the spring, washer and o-ring out.

              Since we're on the subject of fuel screws,what's the setting for them? I don't understand they're function after the pilot (slow) jet.

                  i havent had any luck findin just a fuel pilot screw spring. and i was also wondering what would be a good baseline to start with on my 77gs750 stock intake 4into1 kerker megaphone backed tight can't put mine back together with out the spring i need for the fuel pilot

                    Take a pen spring and cut it to the same length as the OEM one...done. As for baseline settings.. PILOT screw ( bottom one ) out 1 turn from gently seated. MIXTURE screw ( side one ) 2 turns out from gently seated.
