    Question regarding petcock

This is probably a stupid question but here goes. My petcock sporadically free flows gas (when it is not on prime) so I'm going to clean and rebuild it. I opened it up and figured out all the pieces on the side where the vacuum and fuel lines attach. On the switch side (pri, res, on), after I pop the lever off, there is a little white plastic disk. Does that little plastic disk come out or do I leave it alone? I don't want to accidentally break it through stupidity.

For $50 you can likely get new petcock and eliminate it as a problem and work on other fun stuff. What is the centerline spacing of the two bolts that hold petcock to tank? 44 mm?

I'd have to measure to be 100% positive but that sounds pretty close.

I bought one from him last year- got it in 3 days and much easier than being a petcock repair specialist!

Just placed my order after wasting almost $30 on a rebuild kit with wrong parts.

Don't delay, he ran out of this model last year (at least at this price)- they work fine. You'll need to pick up a pair of sealing washers to go under mounting bolts- most hardware stores will have them for less than a buck.

I just got mine and installed it. Three days shipping. I was told he gets them from Japan and I suspect they are the same ones Suzuki ships. Visually it was identical to the old one. I was curious so went over both pretty closely. If you buy from his web site it's free shipping.

I bought from on ebay. But he has a site, Georgefix.com. He offers free shipping from his site. Probably because he doesn't have to pay ebay fees.
