I was surprised not to find an old thread on the matter...what do most use when cleaning their carb diaphragms in a way not to destroy them?

Vinegar soak. In the morning just wash with warm water and dish soap..rub with fingers and all the scum will rinse right off.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Okay, thanks! So you're just saying, the night before put them in straight vinegar, no dilution, before going to sleep and soapy water in the morning?

Sorry chuck, but I wouldn't put them in vinegar. Use soap and water. Be nice to them or the diaphragms may fail.Ed
