    Carb Vacuum line questions

So i was Given a 1980 GS1000g a couple of years ago and just started getting working on it this weekend I installed a MAC 4 into 1 exhaust, a Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, and a EBC street racing clutch. the bike has a cheap set of pods on it. the problem is the two vacuum lines that help the slides arent attached to anything. i was wondering where they attach in a stock setup and how you guys are running these lines to pods or stacks or such any help will be greatly appreciated. i am itching to ride again....

I've got an 80' 1000G but I've only got one vacuum line on the carbs, the one that goes to the petcock, the other two are vent lines....as far as I know. I've just left mine open, bike runs great.

I do believe what your talking about are overflow lines, usually not attached to anything on one end.

yep they are vent lines, usually go to the airbox if fitted. with pods, just remove the vent lines completely, they are not needed and will not affect engine running
        1978 GS1085.

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
