    Back to 4 into 2 from 4 into 1?

Hi, I have a black chromed, slightly dented Motad 4 into 1 at the mo on my GS550 but got my hands on a second GS550 bike for spares which has pretty good condition duel exhausts.

Should I put the bike back to stock? I think it will look nicer, but performance wise will it make any difference? I also have the CV carbs/boots etc that came with the bike and so are correctly jetted for the twin exhausts. Th bike is running VMs at the mo.

    Cheers

as far as looks go, the choice is upto you, i doubt you will notice much difference in performance between the 2. you may even get a little better low to midrange with the stock pipes.
try them with your carbs first and see how it runs, you could always try the CV's at a later date

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

The cylinder head is different between CV carb bikes and VM carb bikes. Getting the carb boots switched between the two types is not trivial. Easiest thing to do is stay with the stock carb setup and rejet back to stock as needed.

Personally, I greatly prefer the stock exhaust over aftermarket.
