    Carb rebild question

I found a set of decent used carbs for my 2nd 1980 GS550 E. I took them apart dipped'em the entire thing. I put them backe togther and I noticed 3 of the 4 slides when you push them up don't return without a tug. They move freely with the cap off of the carbs

Springs worn out? Maybe to streached to push back. Just a thought. terrylee

The slides should actually be able to fall without any spring pressure.

Stretching the springs would actually push the slides down harder.

My guess is that they are not clean yet or the diaphragms are caught wrong when the caps are installed.
