    Mukuni Carb with accelerator Pump?

Purchased a Mikuni VM carburetor, has what I assume is an accelerator pump attached to the bowl on #2 carb with a manual choke lever and throttle adjust on top if I remember correctly.

Purchased as a backup for my 79 Suzuki GS1000 was inspecting it now the weather has improved.

where do i find a parts diagram?
Can this be converted to a standard carb?
Or should I clean and restore as is?

From what I've heard the Kawasaki used the accelerator pump. I'm sure they are similar and you could get the proper needle, main jet and pilot jet. I would call the techs at Z1 Enterprises and see if you can find someone with personal knowledge.

It's stamped on the Mikuni jets and needles, I believe Basscliff has a chart on his site that give the specifics for models and years.

The VM O-ring kits from Mr. Barr will do everything except the accelerator pump. I remember seeing a rebuild kit for the accelerator pumps, I just cannot for the life of me remember where. Pretty much all of the other parts are the same as standard VM carbs. IIRC, Bike Bandit has exploded parts diagrams that will list all of the parts.

I would try Sudco or Sirius Consolidated for the pumper parts.

Kawasaki used VM28's with a pump on some of their early big bore bikes. If you can verify the jets are stock, and your bike is stock, I'd slap them on as is. The jetting should be close.

Similar but the air mix screw is through the bottom of the bowl :>)
will post a photo next time I get out to the garage.

someone cleaned them as very little dirt or grunge has broken cable guide on the back side and then the bowl to bowl accelerator bowl pump and a manual choke
