I believe Z1 has them for a lot less, I don't think the ones in your picture are broken click on the Z1 picture, they look a lot alike. http://www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDet...item=KL18-2645Last edited by OldVet66; 06-19-2013, 09:00 PM.http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...ine=1440711157'78 GS1000E, Dyna-S ignition, Dyna Green Coils, K&N pods, Delkevic SS 4-1 exhaust, Dynojet Stage 3 jet kit, Russell SS Brake Lines, Progressive suspension, Compu-Fire series Regulator 55402 and Advmonster cree LED headlight conversion.

Just to be certain, you slide the spring onto the screw first, then the washer, and finally the little O-ring. Is that the way you were doing it? If the adjustment still doesn't make any difference, it pretty much has to be blocked passages.and God said, "Let there be air compressors!"

That was going to be my next question. So if my screws are good (and not lose ) I will ask what I should look into next. I am pretty busy the next few days but will post my result when I check the ones in the bike. ) I will ask what I should look into next. Ok, I pulled the screws from the bike. They look fine as far as the tips are concerned, the tips are black but I knew I was running rich anyway. Any thoughts on where I should look now?

Set your carbs up this way and see if it does not work for you. Only took me 2 adjustments to fix my issues.

Thanks gustovh, I will set them up that way once it stops raining here. I am guessing I shouldn't be to worried about the lack of engine response to adjusting the air/fuel mixture screws one at a time then? Just start with two turns out and adjust all four equally till I get a smooth response from a rev.

The highest rev method is for VM carbs. It does not work for CV carbs. I spent many a frustrating hour trying to get it to work, and it just does not work.
gustovh, glad to hear it worked for you as well.
BTW, what the blazes goes in those **** ?

Then you are doing it wrong or have other issues! I do EVERY cv carbureted bike I tune the fastest idle method & it WORKS!! Been doing them that way since they came out on Suzukis in 1980! I also KNOW what I am doing & how to do them correctly. Ray.

Koolaid_kid, the title is supposed to be "strange results...."

Ray, any ideas on why carb one and two have no response to adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw?
