Mikuni Hex Jets in a CV carb???

Hey all I have been doing some searching and am not coming up with much on the subject at all on here.

A guy at work gave me a box full of Mikuni Mixed jets (round and hex, pilot and mains), needles, clips, etc... What I am wondering is if one could use the hex style mikuni jets in the my CV carbs that have the small round jets. I really didnt think so but found some other articles relating to other vehicles that used mikunis read that they are interchangeable. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Was looking for a set of 95 or 97.5 mains but only round ones are a set of 90's.

Also is there any place to look up the needles by the numbers on them to see what they are for? He thinks they were used in an early 80s yamaha 4cyl bike and I thought, hey you never know if they might be interchangeable. There is a set of 4 adjustable needles in there from a jet kit he bought years ago with clips along with several other sets of what look to be stock needles (non adjustable).

    Any help would be appreciated.

No I would not suggest you do that the needle will not set in the jet properly. Use the correct jet for the carb

Yeah just seen that its not recommended. On the plus side i found out the hex jets have a 5mm thread on them so I should be able to use them as adapter for my DIY carb sync.

On a side note does anyone have some round main jets for the BS carbs they would want to trade for the large hex style ones?

Are you sure the hex head are Mukuni jets. The Keihins use a long hex head jet they have a K next to the #
        I could use some Keihin 4-158s, 160s, 162s, 165s

I will look closer later once I get home if there is a k by the numbers or not. There are two styles of jets both hex shaped. Just one has a longer hex shaped part on it the others. If I have a set of the ones ur looking for I let u know and they are all yours.
