I need to replace my gas tank and I found one on a 1981 gs450lx - I assume the tanks are the same size on a 1981 gs450 LX vs. T and I will have no issues?

There may be some minor mounting differences but it will likely fit over the backbone etc. with no dramas.
I know the E/S tanks do not directly swap to the L's and you need to move the front mounts... so I'm not sure if you'll need to do the same for the T or not. -
I'm a little afraid to stick my neck out when it comes to GS450's versus my '81 GSX400 but from what I've seen , L tank to T should be fine. However it's easy to check the fiches.
I'd start here... being careful to get the closest match
