What carbs will fit a 1980 GS1000?

I am having carb problems....

I am restoring a 1980 GS 1000G. The bike has a Wiseco 1085 piston kit, stock cams, a V&H 4into1 exhaust and K&N pods.

The carbs on it are Mikuni BS34CV models, they are not in real good condition, but could be rebuilt. One of the choke plungers is broken. Will the plungers from a 34 from an XS650 fit the 34s that I have? Any options or links for buying choke parts?

Another question is what carb options I have for this bike (for reasonable money, I can't afford $6-900 for a set of the nice Mikunis). Will GSXR, KZ, CB or XS Carbs fit? Can I put carbs from another bike on the rack from My GS? I can't seem to find a chart of what carbs go on what bikes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I know one of you guys has the answers!

Cool, that's a start. Given the mods I'm making, which bike would you suggest? Are the smaller carbs from the 750s too small or the bigger ones from the 1100s or 1200s too big?
