Tip cut on fuel mixture screw - '79 GS850

I'm cleaning my carbs the proper way (chem-dip) now and was just checking the fuel mixture screws to make sure everything was ok with them and the end of the screw on one of the outside carbs looks like it's had the tip cut off. Is this normal or should I just order a new set. The rest of the o-rings on tall of them seemed a little worn anyway.

Agree. Not too difficult to remove the broken piece though.

I repaired one using a sharpened piece of mig wire, bent at right angles so it could be pressed out from the carb throat side. Worked well, without doing too much damage to the needle seat.

Hey Bill, I see in your signature, you've got a Hines & Kerker 4-1 on your beast. Kerker headers/V&H muffler or vice versa?

Actually I just put a new v&h pipe on it. I used to have a kerker header and a v&h can.
Good to hear from you Ian.
