    Correct exhaust bolts

    I'm looking to replace my rusted out exhaust bolts on my 1982 GS750T. Boulevard Suzuki has two different part numbers for the exhaust bolt. Which one is which?

    Use studs and nuts, it's much easier on the threads in the head. NAPA sells a great set for about $8.

      Don't forget the high temp anti seize .

        One is 45mm and the other 40mm. Not sure what you need. Best to measure them. Bolts are measured for thread length, not including the head.

          I ordered OEM bolts from a dealership when I replaced the exhaust gaskets on the GS1000 -- the exact part number. I wanted that original look, as much as possible. They sent me bolts that are much darker in color than OEM. Really ****ed me off.

          If quality bolts are installed with antisieze, I don't see any disadvantage over studs & nuts, especially if original appearance is a factor.

          Hmm -- I just noticed this doesn't answer your question at all. Ah, details...

            Had the same experience. Many of the new hardware pieces they supply these days have different head markings too. Best to just restore your old hardware and skip on purchasing new if you can.

              I bought stainless allens from http://dmpfasteners.com/index.php?id=1 using the Suzuki part numbers from the parts book. So far so good. The studs are a good idea, and stainless acorn nuts would look cool. I have bought quite a bit from these guys. When I wanted stainless allen fork pinch bolts with stainless acorn nuts, I had trouble finding the nuts, but these guys had them. Fastenall has been no help for me.

                  I think this is the answer, part 4-1 is 45mm, 4-2 is 40mm , you decipher it in the second half of the part number

                  4-1 BOLT
                  07130-0845B

                  diameter 8mm
                  length 45mm

                  you need to measure the bolts you have
