Cables for lower bars?
I just got an 85 GS450L and the guy I got it from swapped out the original bars for dirt bike bars. I've had some issues with the clutch and throttle and was told I need to get shorter cables due to the bar change. How do I figure out what the cable length should be for the bars I have on there? Or can I just adjust/rout them differently? It's my first bike so the only thing I notice is that idle will go waaaay up when you turn the bars to the right, and a few people told me the clutch lever just feels off due to the cable length.Tags: None -

You really should replace them with shorter cables. I would look into Suzuki 450S or 450E cables, as OEM cables tend to be much better quality than aftermarket cables. -
